our story

We hand-make steamed buns - soft, warm and perfect for scoffing on the street. They are made using the best ingredients - only ever British outdoor reared pork and MSC certified fish, and the freshest British veggies where possible.

Yum Bun began life in Hackney's Broadway Market in 2010. Since then we have served our buns at markets around London and our pop-up shop in Old Street. 

In 2015 we hit the road and took our big yellow bun bus to lots of feasts and festivals. From a very windswept Festival No 6 to a sweltering weekend on Alex James' farm - we've had a lot of adventures!  Along the way we have picked up British Street food awards, featured on many a best street food list and have catered events for clients from the Obvserver Food Magazine awards to Mercedes. 

The last two years has seen us setting down roots, popping up at Harvey Nichols and settling into our more permanent homes at Dinerama and Hawker House.  

In March this year we will open our first 7 day a week Yum Bun at Street Feast's exciting new space in Canary Wharf.
